VCE International High School Program (China) Overview
The VCE International High School Program is a Sino-foreign cooperative high school project approved by the local education authorities in China. The VCE certificate refers to the Victorian Certificate of Education, which is a qualification awarded to students who have completed the equivalent of the 11th and 12th grades (similar to the Chinese high school senior years) in Australia's Victoria state and have met the teaching requirements set by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). The VCE certificate is widely recognized by overseas universities and enables direct admission to renowned universities in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Program Features
VCE in China:
Since 2002, over 4,000 students have successfully completed the VCE program in China.
More than 90% of Chinese VCE graduates have been admitted to universities in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. VCE in China is delivered through cooperation between Chinese schools and schools in Victoria.
All-English Instruction:
The VCE program adopts small-class, all-English instruction.
It enables students to adapt to Western teaching methods and ways of thinking more quickly and effectively, which is beneficial for future studies abroad.
Dual Enrollment:
Students will have dual enrollment in both Chinese and Australian schools.
The VCE cooperative program runs parallel to the current Chinese high school curriculum. Upon meeting the requirements, students can obtain high school graduation certificates from both China and Australia. With both certificates, students are eligible to take the Chinese National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) for admission to Chinese universities and also qualify for admission to universities in Australia and other Commonwealth countries.
Time and Cost Savings:
Students can be directly admitted to overseas universities, saving them the time and cost of studying abroad for half a year of language study and one year of preparatory courses.
The tuition for completing all VCE courses overseas is lower than the cost of studying in Australia for one year.
Teacher Training in China:
Victorian VCE cooperative schools provide comprehensive language and curriculum training for Chinese partner school teachers, offering opportunities and space for their professional development.
The introduction of the VCE program also has a positive impact on curriculum reform in Chinese higher education.
Short Duration, High Efficiency:
The VCE program can be completed in just 2.5 years, including the EAL (English as an Additional Language) course (which, if passed, can replace other language proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE).
Semester Arrangement:
The Australian academic year runs from January to December.
To accommodate the two-year VCE program and the academic year schedule, Chinese students will begin studying VCE subjects in the second semester of their first year. VCE exams will be held in November of the first semester of Chinese Grade 12.

Achievements of the VCE Cooperative Program
The VCE International Cooperative Education Program at Taixing No. 1 High School in Jiangsu Province is a tripartite collaboration, jointly managed by both schools. Under the supervision of the education authorities of both sides, the international cooperative education program was successfully established and has been recruiting students steadily for over 6 years since 2018. Currently, four cohorts of graduates have been admitted to top domestic and international schools through this program, with an admission rate to the Group of Eight universities in Australia (Top 100 in the world) exceeding 80%.
As the intermediary for this project, our company provides management support, coordinates communications, assists in connecting with school resources, facilitates visa applications for further studies, and offers personalized settling-in services for students in Australia.
